Privacy Policy

Our Promise: We do not sell your data. We do not track you across the web. We do not build "shadow profiles."

1. Information We Collect

We believe in Data Minimization. We only collect what is strictly necessary to make the app work:

• Account Data: Your phone number or email (to verify your identity) and your chosen display name.
• Profile Settings: Your custom profile color (stored as LCH coordinates) and your profile picture.
• Content: The photos and text you post. These are stored securely to show them to your friends.

2. Contact Discovery (The "Circle")

To help you find friends, we use a Privacy-First Matching system:

• If you grant permission, your contacts' phone numbers are hashed locally on your device (using SHA-256) before being sent to our server.
• We compare these hashes against our existing user database to find matches.
• Crucially: We do not store the phone numbers of your contacts who are not on Loop. Any hash that doesn't match an existing user is instantly discarded.

3. What We Don’t Do (The "Anti-Media" Guarantee)

• No Third-Party Tracking: We don't use Facebook, Google, or any other third-party SDKs that track your behavior.
• No Ad-Targeting: Because there are no ads on Loop, we have no reason to monitor your interests or "categorize" you.
• No Algorithmic Manipulation: We don't track which posts you "linger" on to keep you addicted. Your feed is yours.

4. Data Storage & Security

• Location: Your data is stored on secure servers located in [Insert Region, e.g., the United States].
• Encryption: All data is encrypted in transit (SSL/TLS) and at rest.

5. Your Rights & Control

• Deletion: If you delete a post, it’s gone from our active servers. If you delete your account, we wipe all your data from our database within 30 days.
• Portability: You can request a copy of your data at any time through the app settings.
