Our Promise: We do not sell your data. We do not track you across the web. We do not build shadow profiles of our users.

1. Information We Collect

We believe in Data Minimization. We only collect what is strictly necessary to make the app work:

• Account Data: Your phone number or email (to verify your identity) and your chosen display name.
• Profile Settings: Your profile picture.
• Content: The photos and text you send and post. These are stored securely to show them to your friends.

2. Contact Discovery

To help you find friends, we use a Privacy-First Matching system:

• If you grant permission, your contacts' phone numbers are hashed locally on your device (using SHA-256) before being sent to our server.
• We compare these hashes against our existing user database to find matches.
• Crucially: We do not store the phone numbers of your contacts who are not on Loop. Any hash that doesn't match an existing user is instantly discarded.

3. What We Don’t Do

• No Third-Party Tracking: We don't use Facebook, Google, or any other third-party SDKs that track your behavior.
• No Ad-Targeting: Because there are no ads on Loop, we have no reason to monitor your interests or "categorize" you.
• No Algorithmic Manipulation: We don't track which posts you "linger" on to keep you addicted. Your feed is yours.

4. Your Rights & Control

• Deletion: If you delete a post, it’s gone from our active servers. If you delete your account, we wipe all your data from our database within 30 days.
• Portability: You can request a copy of your data at any time through the app settings.

Terms of Service for Loop

1. Acceptance of Terms

By creating an account on Loop, you agree to follow these rules. If you don’t agree, please do not use the app.

2. Community Guidelines (The "No-Tolerance" Policy)

Loop is designed for genuine social connection. To keep the community safe, we have zero tolerance for the following:

• Hate Speech: Content that attacks, threatens, or insults individuals or groups based on race, religion, sexual orientation, gender, or disability.
• Bullying & Harassment: Targeted platform behavior intended to shame, degrade, or intimidate other users.
• Objectionable Content: We prohibit the posting of sexually explicit material, graphic violence, or illegal content.

3. Moderation and Enforcement

To maintain these standards, Loop employs the following enforcement measures:

• Content Removal: We reserve the right to remove any post that violates our community guidelines.
• The Three-Strike Rule:
  • Strike 1 & 2: You will receive a formal warning, and the offending content will be deleted.
  • Strike 3: Your account will be permanently deleted, and you may be barred from creating future accounts.
• Immediate Ejection: In cases of extreme violations (such as illegal activity or severe threats), we reserve the right to bypass the strike system and delete an account immediately.

4. Reporting and Blocking

Users have the right to a safe experience.

• Reporting: You can report any post or user that violates these terms. Our team will review all reports within 24 hours.
• Blocking: You can block any user at any time. Once blocked, their content will be immediately and permanently hidden from your feed.

5. Limitation of Liability

Loop is a platform for user-generated content. While we moderate reported content, we are not responsible for the actions or posts of our users.
